Round Steak Casserole

A hearty, savory, and delicious dish that is packed with meat, potatoes, and tomatoes that can be easily prepared in a slow cooker. Ingredients

  • 2 pounds round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) low-sodium French-style green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) low-sodium tomato soup
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) low-sodium tomatoes, peeled and whole

Method

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Season round steak lightly with garlic salt, salt and pepper.
  3. Cut into serving pieces and place in crock pot with sliced onion, which has been separated into rings.
  4. Add potatoes and green beans.
  5. Top with tomato soup and tomatoes.
  6. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
  7. Remove cover during last half-hour if there is too much liquid.
  8. To cook in 2-quart crock pot, reduce ingredients slightly.
