No-Bake Cookies

No-Bake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup non-fat dry milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. In large sauce pan, bring the first six ingredients to a full, rolling boil for 1 minute, stirring as needed.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add oats, dry milk, raisins, and vanilla to boiled mixture.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper and let stand until cool, about 15 to 20 minutes.
