Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup margarine — 1 stick
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt, non-fat
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips — miniature, or carob chips

Method

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Heat oven to 375 °F.
  3. In a large bowl combine sugar, brown sugar and margarine; beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add yogurt and vanilla; blend well.
  5. Stir in flour and baking soda; mix well.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto un-greased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake at 375 °F for 8 to 12 minutes or until light and golden brown.
  9. Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheets.
