The Best Air Fryer Tofu

Ingredients
- 15-16 oz tofu (super firm ideally*)
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil (or other oil)
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper (or to taste)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce ((or amino acids))
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch ((arrowroot powder also works well))
- OPTIONAL: other spices as desired*
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (390°F works too).
- Tear the tofu block into medium, quarter-sized chunks and place in a large bowl.
- Toss the tofu with oil, salt, pepper, and soy sauce until coated.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until fully coated.
- Arrange tofu in the air fryer basket with space between pieces, working in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, then toss and continue cooking for 5-10 more minutes until as crispy as desired (about 15 minutes total).
- Serve with your favorite sauce or on its own.
