Amish-Style Meatballs & Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Combine ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs and brown them in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the beef broth and stir in the brown gravy mix.
  4. Cover the skillet and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing gently with the meatballs and gravy.
  7. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until everything is hot and well coated.
