Caramel Apple Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans apple pie filling
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package spice cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the pan.
  3. Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the apples.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the caramel and apple layer.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Scatter the chopped walnuts evenly on top.
  7. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the apple filling bubbles up through the cake layer.
  8. Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
