Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion (finely diced)
- 1 large green bell pepper (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups shredded Provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then drain excess fat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook until softened.
- Stir in the garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano; cook for about a minute, then mix the beef back into the vegetables.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking until thickened, then stir in the provolone and mozzarella until melted and smooth.
- Mix half the cheese sauce into the beef mixture and spread into the prepared baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese sauce and bake 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
