Simple Loaded Potatoes and Sausage

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) bag of frozen roasted potatoes and onions, repeated with another bag
- 1/2 a diced smoked sausage, then other half
- 1/2 pound of shredded Colby Jack cheese, repeated with another 1/2 pound
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream, then 3 tablespoons, then 3-4 tablespoons
- Top with bacon crumbles
Method
- In a 9x13 casserole dish, add about 2 tablespoons heavy cream.
- Add 1 bag (15 oz) frozen roasted potatoes and onions, spread evenly.
- Add half the diced smoked sausage, then top with 1/2 pound shredded Colby Jack cheese.
- Drizzle on about 3 tablespoons heavy cream.
- Repeat the layers: add the second bag of potatoes, remaining sausage, and another 1/2 pound of cheese.
- Drizzle on another 3-4 tablespoons heavy cream and top with bacon crumbles.
- Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes, uncovered.
- Mix slightly, cover, and bake another 15 minutes or so.
- Optionally remove foil and broil a couple minutes to brown the top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
