Easy Korean Beef

Ingredients

  • two pounds of ground beef
  • 3/4 cups low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • optional if you'd like the sauce a bit thicker add 1 tablespoon of corn starch
  • topped ours with green onions
  • served over rice

Method

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet until slightly crispy, then drain the grease.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, garlic, and ginger. Add corn starch if you'd like a thicker sauce.
  3. Once the meat is cooked, add the sauce and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Top with green onions and serve over rice.
