Creamy Garlic Steak Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

Method

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels to help them brown properly.
  2. Season steak with salt, pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add steak in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  5. Sear 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to preferred doneness.
  6. Remove steak to a plate and keep warm.
  7. Lower heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
  8. Add mushrooms and cook 4-6 minutes until golden and tender.
  9. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté about 30 seconds.
  10. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up browned bits.
  11. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  12. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce is creamy.
  13. Return steak bites and their juices to the skillet.
  14. Toss steak in sauce and simmer 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
  15. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  16. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.
